A keyword is simply a shortcut to help you quickly find the information or web page you are seeking. These shortcuts often reduce the number of clicks a visitor needs to execute in order to find the desired information. A keyword can actually be one or more words and are generally developed by the department requesting a shortcut to specific information.
For example, website visitors looking for property tax information may simply enter the keyword taxes from the home page. They will be directed to the first page related to property tax information on our site. Similarly, visitors looking for the building department area may enter the keyword building.
